The Market Street Cable Railway Company operated in San Francisco from 1882-1893. This replica set of 12 brand new Market Street Cable Railway Brass Uniform Buttons were made in the 1980s from the original dies by the Waterbury Button Company in Waterbury, Connecticut, about 100 years after the railway company’s first button order. Included in the set are 4 Coat Buttons (7/8″ dia.), 4 Vest Buttons (3/4″ dia.) and 4 Cuff Buttons (1/2″ dia.). All buttons have a 1/8″ shank, making it easy to affix with a clip and remove when sending the heavy woolen coat for cleaning. Sold in set of 12 buttons.
