Longtime Bay Area television journalist Joe Fonzi has completed the most comprehensive documentary done on Muni’s F-Market & Wharves vintage streetcar line.
It will air two consecutive Sundays on KTVU, Channel 2.

The 30-minute documentary will feature interviews with Mayor Daniel Lurie, SFMTA Chief Julie Kirschbaum, MSR President Rick Laubscher, and several key Muni employees who operate and maintain the streetcars (specific list of all interviewees not available to us).
Joe Fonzi says the story started out as a short piece to run in a regular Fox2 newscast, but he found so much good material that he is turning it into a full half-hour. Tune in, or be sure to record what should be landmark coverage of the F-line, when its future is uncertain in the face of Muni’s pending budget dilemma.
