YES! Muni wins money to keep service intact

Voters in San Francisco and the Bay Area have approved two ballot measures that give Muni the additional revenue it needs to keep service levels, including the cable cars and historic streetcars, at current levels or higher.

YES! Muni wins money to keep service intact

At Mayor Daniel Lurie’s victory party on election night, November 3, which we attended, the mayor called on Muni to improve service, not just keep it where it is now.

We will be advocating for specific service improvements, in both cable car and historic streetcar service, to gain more value to riders, and to the City’s economy, from these unique historic transit assets.

We will have details in the next issue of our supporter magazine, Inside Track, due out in a few weeks.

For now, we thank all voters who showed their overwhelming support for public transit in this election.

Our advocacy is only possible through people who share our passion for historic transit that actually serves its basic purpose: taking people where they want to go – with an extra measure of verve and enjoyment. Please consider supporting our independent nonprofit, which receives no government funding, as we move forward to make cable car and historic streetcar service even better in San Francisco. Thanks!
