St Louis Car Co. Builder’s Plate

LIMITED EDITION: Own a piece of America’s unique transportation history!

The fabled St. Louis Car Company manufactured all the PCCs on Muni’s F-line. When originally built (between 1946 and 1952) each had a brass builder’s plate mounted above the operator’s area. These disappeared over the years, but replacements were made from the original castings when the cars were restored. The ones we offer are from the group cast for the F-line PCCs, made of red brass, never drilled for mounting, and painted in the same cream color applied to the interiors of the F-line PCCs, with the top surface of the brass letters unpainted and buffed. A unique gift for the railfan in your life. Measures 14″ x 1″ x 0.25″ and weighs over a pound. Read More…
