Our new poster shows the many vintage liveries now gracing the Powell Street cable car fleet (a project supported by Market Street Railway). These paint schemes represent five different owners of the Powell line since 1888, in a kaleidoscope of colors.
The current California Street livery is also included, along with historic O’Farrell, Jones & Hyde car No. 42, restored with help by Market Street Railway. 1984 Trolley Festival Poster$14.95
This poster (pulled from our archives, printed in 1984) was created by San Francisco artist John Wullbrandt to mark the second season of the San Francisco Historic Trolley Festival.
It shows a group of historical San Franciscans, both real and fictional, riding westbound on Market Street between Stockton and Powell Streets, aboard 1934 Blackpool, England open-topped “Boat Tram” #226, followed by 1929 Oporto, Portugal streetcar #189.
