  • Going to the Dogs Women’s Crew Neck Tee Shirt

    P1160117.jpg $23.95

Muni streetcars and buses all have an interesting sign that reads in part, “Any number of  service dogs may ride Muni Free and Unmuzzled.” This caused us to muse about what it would look at if the number of dogs ended up taking over a streetcar. Here’s the result…a must-have tee shirt for people who love both dogs and the historic streetcars.

This is the women’s version of this product, made of brushed cotton and locally printed. It’s a crew neck design in a teal color. The wording on the front includes the iconic sign and the joking caption “San Francisco — It’s gone to the dogs.”

We also have this great shirt in kids sizes!

  • Streetcars of San Francisco Tee Shirt

    P1160042.jpg $19.95

San Francisco’s historic streetcars have now taken their place alongside the iconic cable cars as symbols of our city. We celebrate them here on a tee shirt with an image of the last of 5,000 streamlined “PCC” streetcars built in North America, San Francisco’s 1040, still operating daily on the F-Market & Wharves line.

This is a unisex product, made of brushed cotton in a vintage denim color and locally printed.

Tens of thousands of San Francisco commuters have probably taken a few moments to ponder this simple statement, which has been posted near the operator’s station of every Muni bus and streetcar since the early 1960s. The message is simultaneously friendly and forbidding, inviting yet indifferent, personable yet coldly professional.

  • Ballpark Tote Bag

    Take-Me-Out-tote.jpg $14.95

San Francisco has a wonderful baseball tradition, and for most of baseball’s history in the city-by-the-bay, fans took streetcars to get there. In fact, when Muni was brand new, one of the first extensions it built was a few blocks of track south on Masonic Avenue from Geary to reach Ewing Field in 1914, then the tops in ballpark design. Today, the Giants’ AT&T Park is considered one of the greatest baseball parks in the world, and it’s reachable by both Muni light rail lines and the vintage E-Embarcadero streetcar service. We created a poster in our Vintage Travel Series, by artist David Dugan, to celebrate baseball and streetcars, featuring a streetcar of the type that use to serve Seals Stadium on the 22-Fillmore line. (We rescued that streetcar, the 798 from destruction, and are now working to get it restored and operating again). This evocative image is now available in this 12″ x 14″ 100% cotton gusseted tote bag.  Premium quality construction with a 7″ x 10″ image of a classic San Francisco scene. Durable fabric and machine washable.
