Market Street Railway operates several exclusive streetcar excursions every year, with onboard guides and special routes. These “Trolley Tours” are a great way to learn more about several aspects of San Francisco history in an uncrowded, enjoyable environment. Some of these Trolley Tours are co-sponsored with other groups, including San Francisco City Guides. These sell out quickly, so if you don’t see any listed, you will soon.

You can also charter an entire streetcar for a private party through the owner-operator of the historic streetcars, SFMTA’s Municipal Railway (Muni).
