| As our organization has proven for more than a quarter–century, we can work wonders—with the help of our members. We rely on donations of both time and money to move our agenda forward.
Our leadership all serves on a volunteer basis and includes skilled professionals in a number of disciplines, doing for love what would otherwise require significant salaries to accomplish. They are assisted by very able paid staff who operate our San Francisco Railway Museum and world–class consulting help on our graphic design and educational materials.
There are many ways you can help us make the historic streetcars and cable cars more fun to experience. Some of these opportunities require specific skills; some require only a desire to help and time to do so. And money is always welcome, either in the form of a tax–deductible donation or a membership, which brings its own satisfaction and special benefits. Market Street Railway is supported entirely by donations and membership dues, and receives no financial support from the San Francisco Municipal Railway or the City of San Francisco. Become a volunteer or docent
Like many member–supported organizations, Market Street Railway depends on its volunteers to make things happen, and the more help we have, the more we are able to do. Due to the generosity of our members and supporters in the past, we’ve been able to save and restore many of the antique streetcars you see on the F-line today.
